Our construction team brings deep industry experience across pre-construction, site execution, quality control, safety management, and closeout.
As we move into 2026, the team is actively completing Ascent Canmore, advancing construction at Cascade Canmore and Alpine, and preparing for the delivery of Cave Ave in Banff.
Together, they operate under a shared commitment to disciplined planning, accountability, collaboration, and consistent delivery.

Kelly Zaharia
Vice President, Construction
Kelly Zaharia leads Highpoint Construction with more than 35 years of experience delivering large-scale projects across Western Canada. His background spans multi-family residential, commercial, institutional, and infrastructure projects. Kelly provides strategic leadership across planning, execution, and team development, guiding the construction platform while maintaining Highpoint’s standards for integrity, accountability, and performance.
David Leahul
Director, Pre-Construction & Chief Estimator
David Leahul brings over 20 years of experience in pre-construction and estimating across multi-family, commercial, institutional, and infrastructure projects. He oversees feasibility analysis, budgeting, cost certainty, and risk management, ensuring projects are positioned for successful execution before construction begins.

Julie Welchman
Project Manager, Warranty & Interior Finishes
Julie Welchman brings more than a decade of experience across the full lifecycle of multi-family projects, from early design coordination and construction through occupancy, closeout, and warranty. She oversees interior finishes, deficiency management, and warranty execution, supporting a smooth transition from construction to resident occupancy while maintaining quality and schedule discipline.
Popie Hengari
Senior Project Coordinator
Popie Hengari brings over five years of hands-on construction experience across high-rise residential and mixed-use developments. She supports projects through pre-construction, construction, and closeout, coordinating consultants and trades, managing RFIs, submittals, schedules, and cost tracking, and identifying constructability risks early.
Yesha Thakkar
Project Coordinator
Yesha Thakkar supports project delivery through detailed coordination of schedules, budgets, permits, contracts, RFIs, change orders, and site documentation. With a background in civil engineering and project management, she plays a key role in maintaining organization and supporting efficient execution from planning through closeout.

Daniel Gallinger
Construction Manager
Daniel Gallinger combines field leadership and project management experience across commercial and residential construction. He manages site operations, trade coordination, consultant communication, and safety compliance, supporting projects through to completion while maintaining schedule and quality standards.
Ryan Tracey
Site Supervisor
Ryan Tracey is a Red Seal Carpenter with over 20 years of experience across multi-family and commercial construction, including concrete, steel, and wood-frame projects. His background includes senior site leadership roles such as Superintendent, Senior Superintendent, Project Manager, and Vice President of Site Operations. Ryan provides strong leadership in site execution, safety, scheduling, and quality control.
Reid Zaharia

Reid Zaharia brings a strong trade background and proven leadership experience across complex multi-family construction sites. He supports daily site operations with a safety-first mindset, coordinating crews and trades while maintaining high standards of workmanship and efficiency.
Kyle Erskine
Site Foreman
Kyle Erskine combines a civil engineering education with hands-on construction experience. His role focuses on site coordination, quality control, and execution, bridging technical understanding with practical field leadership to ensure work aligns with design intent and project standards.
